So, if I weigh over 200 pounds should I really be getting 200grams of protein a day? I was thinking no but lately I have been feeling really blah like how you might feel at the beginning of the flu and wonder if it might be protein related.
I am getting enough calories, not really losing much weight (maybe half a pound every other week) and eating somewhere in the neighborhood of 80-120g of protein a day. 200g seems like a preposterous amount of protein.
How would one eat so much protein in a day?

Meat for breakfast, meat for lunch, meat for dinner, meat for snacks? lol. How many calories are you eating each day? I hit 186g of protein yesterday on 1,976 calories. If I'd replaced my cheese snack with another serving of beef jerky, I would've hit 200g of protein exactly. I usually don't hit that high, though, so I don't know how feasible it would be to do that every day.0

You should be eating 1 gram per lean body mass, not 1 gram per pound you weigh. I eat about 120g of protein a day.0

That makes more sense! Thanks!0

Yeah, I think the body weight based recommendations are .6-.8 g/lb or 120-160 g for 200 lbs. So you should be good if you can get between that and it shouldn't be too difficult to hit that if you are a meat eater. I aim for 120/day and that can often be more. My diary is open if you want to peak and get any ideas......I think I had a good start to March, not so much for April.0
