Note to Drivers: I'm Sorry

Dear Crotch Rocket Gang,
I saw you up ahead, on our small street full of family home, doing crazy stunts and burn outs and wheelies. I understood, I'm excited about the spring too.
I apologize that while running next to the curb, in broad day light , in my neon pink jacket that I clearly startled not just your ring leader, but each and everyone of your 4 person club enough to feel the need to rev your engines and pop a wheelie as each and everyone of you reached my hind quarter.
Perhaps you were just showing off for me - and next time I will return the favour by demonstrating just how awesome my clothesline move is.

I have stories but nothing too scary or rude. I do wish I had a air horn with me when I run or when I bike so I could "honk" at *kitten* drivers.0

Sheesh. I'm sorry about that. And nobody stopped? What is WITH people?
I suspect it was because I wasn't run over, the back of the car hit me and I fell off, so clearly it was my own fault and clearly I wasn't hurt...
I replaced my helmet as I was a bit dazed afterwards and figured I'd probably banged my head as I hit the road.
I always give bikes a large amount of room when I go past, either in the car or on my motorbike.
I used to bike to school and, yes, if I don't have room to pass - I don't pass. If I do have room to pass, I leave ample room because 1 - they could hit a rock and 2 - I don't want my wind drag to pull them over. Also, according to Georgia law, a bike is a road vehicle that "owns" the lane.0 -
weightloss32 thank you for this thread. Surprises me that Arizona has bad drivers, but whatever.
BOSTON: I have run in Boston. They have a "stop by attribution" rule at stop signs. In a line of cars the first to stop is attributed to all those behind, so no further stopping is needed. Very bad for pedestrians.
VENICE CA: (where I live). There are no apparent rules other than eye contact. if you make it you get the right of way. If not, you could be dead promptly.

I'm sorry you are braindead ....
It was raining in Central PA today as I ran .... A D-bag in black truck deliberately sped past me fast jus' so he could splash some more water. I think he was braindead b'coz I was already wet ... I should have turned around to see if he got a trophy for his stupidity. Not worth it. I would have lost some pace if I would have.0
