grip strength

So I have been doing stronglifts for a couple of months. I started light to get used to form (and to realize that I am stronger than I thought)and I am finally getting into more challenging weights. My problem now is my grip keeps failing on deadlifts. Any suggestions on how to keep the bar from slipping out of my hands?

Chalk (if your gym allows it), mixed grip helps also.

    Gloves too....

Farmers walks help wit grip strength

Eta: gloves are not ideal. I only used mine over the summer when my gym was so hot my palms were sweating. But farmers walks and those spring loaded hand things from a sporting goods store will help. Putty would too.

    Chalk.
    Mixed grip.
    Farmers Walks.
Rack Pulls with a long hold at the top.
Pull-ups (if you can, hang from the bar if you can't).
    Plate Pinches.

chalk online: but I like lifting straps. No mess, and quick break-in time. Plus hot pink straps rock when you pull 225 off the floor!

I bought liquid grip off ebay. But I know I'll need straps again if I can't go any higher after my recent deload.

I have only ever used mixed grip and recently bought chalk at cleaves...it was 4$ for a block.

I did however tape the bar (it's mine so I will do what I want to it) when I started mainly as it was icky dirty...but I have found it may have helped to prevent slippage due to sweat.

I haven't used my chalk yet...

Most recommend tho working on grip strength before doing anything else...ie straps.

Gloves can hamper grip (or so I have heard)

My problem is sweat. Funny, since I only have a problem with it on Deadlifts. Tried gloves, and that didn't work for me. Need to try chalk.

I think I'm going to try taping to deal with the sweat, chalk just seems like it would make a mess. And of course grip strength. My son is enjoying our trips to the play ground for the monkey bars. It seems to be helping. I've got calluses now.
