A snack for VSG'ers.

I fell across a snack that fits into my daily goals but feels really indulgent.
Others may do something similar.
I cut one half med carrot into 6 sticks.
I have one 35g tub of phii light
I have two small roast pork slices (25gms, lean)
I sprinkle a little amount of Italian herbs onto a plate.
I dip the carrots into the philly and spread it on the entire stick.
I dip the cheesey stick in the herbs
I wrap it with half of one of the pork slices.
Eat and enjoy. I find it is a good size snack for VSG as it is filling but without guilt.
It also takes time to do the little wraps as you go so it slows down your eating.
I feel as if I am getting the goodness of the carrots with the taste and protein from the phily and meat.
Total is about 100 calories for a substantial and tasty meal or snack.

Cool! I do something similar. I take a celery stick and spread a 1/2 tsp of Rondele garlic herb cheese or any light cheese spread down the rib and wrap in any meat slice. I agree, fast, simple, meets our goals, high in fiber and protein, low in cals and full of crunchy/meaty/cheesiness!!0
