Love twist after twist.0

I've read the books, so I knew it was coming, and I still cheered.
That said, I may miss him on the show. You've got to love an actor that can really make you want to punch the crap out of their character. Every move of his, every micro expression, just screamed awful.
James Callis as Gaius Baltar was also exceptional at this.

Great comparison. I always wanted to smack Baltar in the teeth. Though sometimes he was just pathetic. Vincent Kartheiser (Pete Campbell from Mad Men, Connor from Angel) is also very good at that.0 -
lol... I STILL want to smack Baltar in the teeth!
I haven't watched Mad Men, but you've peaked my curiosity.
Another favorite bad guy, though he doesn't have the 'greasy' feel of Baltar or Joff (or Baelish, for that matter, he's awesome, I hate him so much!) is Clancy Brown as Brother Justin in Carnivale. Darn I wish that show had been able to reach it's natural conclusion.
Gotta love a great bad guy0 -
Ah, Carnivale :-(
I'm not really much of a fan of GoT (read and love the books, the show kind of misses the best bits, imo) but what i've seen has showcased some phenomenal acting. I really liked the guy who played Viserys as well - such a great mix of mean and pathetic, pitiable and cruel.0 -
I quit watching GoT after a few episodes because I felt they were adding in more than I wanted to deal with. If they issued a DVD set of only Tyrion moments, however, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. For all their faults, they've done a great job with casting most of the characters.
Re: Mad Men, the first several seasons are phenomenal. After that, it's just hard to keep up that level of quality, particularly when the era changes and isn't as easy to mine rich content from.
ETA: For bad guys you loved to hate... or loved to love... it didn't get better on BSG than Leoben.0
