Hey everyone!
I have to say that I'm sorry for being a day late on this. As many of you have heard, I was informed on Monday that my team at work has been effectively laid off, and we're all scrambling around in limbo, trying to prove our worth and snag one of very few jobs being made available. Still no word, decisions are supposed to be made by the end of business tomorrow, but they told us to plan to leave and not return on Monday morning. Fantastic eh?
Anyway! I had this challenge in mind, and I thought it would go exceptionally well for me in light of all this...
This is, as always, completely voluntary, but I highly encourage you to participate.
My challenge to you is this... Root around in your photos. Find a picture that inspires you.
What, that's easy? Well, I don't mean something from Google images. I don't want inspirational sayings. I'm looking for photos of...
YOU.
Find a picture of YOURSELF that inspires you to do what you do. Maybe it's a picture of you at a time you were fitter, slimmer, more defined, whatever. Maybe it's a picture of you active with your family. Whatever it is, I challenge you to find some inspiration.. in yourself!
The photo doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be your end goal. It does, however, have to be a picture of you. We spend so much time looking outside ourselves for our inspiration, we oftentimes forget to look at ourselves. We are, indeed, RAWRs afterall.
Secondly, I challenge you to crack open your MFP blog and write an entry. Doesn't have to be very long. The theme for the entry today should be hurdles. What are your greatest hurdles? Be honest. Be candid. Share. It's a very liberating thing, admitting these issues... and I'm sure you'll find at least one person who thanks you for saying what they can't bring themselves to say.
So, can you do it? We shall see! Post your photos to this thread or by using your MFP photo gallery, and let us all know your deets!
Happy Healthy Life!

You have such a special way of getting me thinking.... I will think on this a bit and get back to you later.0

Okay, my computer that I was going to look for pictures on died last night, so I'm looking at two pics in my gallery for inspiration, a before and after about a year apart. The weight difference is not significant, but the shape and composition is. But then I was not consistent for awhile, and this is where I am aiming to get back to that point so I can continue making progress. The consistency thing is one of my hurdles. Need to explore that thought further, about why, and what to do to prevent it.0

Consistency is hard. That's why I keep doing accountability challenges with my friends, so I can surround myself with reasons beyond "because". Even 10 minutes of exercise or stretching every day is tough to do.0
