Just recently I have had several (random) friend request from ppl I do not know. I'm assuming they found me from the replies I have made to topics from this board. It is the only place I post on MFP.
While I am all for making new friends, epically those that have had or are looking into VSG, please let the person you are friend requesting know who you are, when sending a request.
Just something quick like " Hey saw you on the VSG boards, thought we could support each other..." I'm pre / post op"
I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but random request are going to be denied w/o some kind of introduction like that. There are too many haters on MFP for the VLC/carb diet I follow, and my diary is open to friends. I don't want to have to defend myself, my food choices, and my choice to have surgery to those ppl.
Again I'm all for supporting each other and being "friends" but please add a msg when sending a request.
