So, I just posted a blog about my race this Saturday and was wondering what some of y'all thought:

I'd say run your own race. If you feel comfortable hitting it hard on the downhill, go for it. Don't be rude and not let people pass you on the uphill if they want to, but you have every right to run the race you want. If the uphill is that steep, others will be walking it too. Good luck!0

I think I'm going to slow it down a bit on the downhill (maybe 8:00 pace). That should leave me with enough in the tank to hold my position on the trail. For me, there's a big difference between 8:00 and 7:30.
I'll let you know how it went. Right now, I'm just hoping for another chance to run before Saturday.0
