Leslie and a 90 Day Program?

We all know about Insanity, p90x, JM's Body Revolution, etc. I just read here on MFP and Amazon that Richard Simmons has
a new 90 day program called Project HOPE. So I was wondering if Leslie created a 90 day workout, what type of workouts
would you want to see included in it, and what would you be willing to pay for it? Does Leslie have any plans to create this
type of plan, do you know? I would like an under $50 program, and I would like to see total body toning done sitting in a
chair, since I can't get down on the floor, maybe some new yoga, and slightly faster walking moves. What are your thoughts?

The first thing that I thought of when I read your post, Sue, is that you could probably put together your own customized program using DVDs that you are using now. You have a variety of exercise DVDs that you have been doing in your wheel chair such as your Zumba and Yoga, plus any of the walks or other leader's workout DVDs that you have that have been working for you.
I can't remember if you have any DVDs that uses weights that address your upper body. If not I'm sure that you could find something on Amazon or YouTube. Also LS walks that use the firm band also would be good for that. You would know which you have that you can stand in place for, or sit and use.
Also Amazon carries many of the workouts in the Sit and Be Fit program. Some of them might be good to look into, either for Ideas or perhaps purchase. Some say 'Seniors' but I wouldn't worry about that as they are geared to sitting and you can ramp them up just like a LS workout.
Print off some free blank monthly calender pages from the internet, then start penciling in what you would want to do each day that you plan to exercise with what you have on hand. Take in account the times that you go walking also and if that affects your strength to do DVD exercise.
Pencil in maybe two weeks at first, and see how it goes while keeping notes on what actually worked or not. Then try two more weeks with the revisions. And keep repeating the process till you have two weeks that are challenging and effective with the variety that you like.
Soon you can make a 4 week plan and use that for a month or two while keeping notes again. As time goes on you will see where you can ramp it up in increments. Or on certain days dial it down so that you have recovery days that are lighter mixed with days that challenge you.
Keep notes and play with it.
Doing this yourself you can customize it for use in your wheelchair, strengths and abilities! And you will also be able to use not only the LS workouts that you like but also make use of the other awesome workouts that you have that I see you posting.
Anyone can do this, eventually making a 30, 60 or 90 day plan to fit their own situations and DVDs they have on hand.
Great idea that you had, Sue. But I think it would be even more awesome for you to make your own :drinker: !!
