Well, I guess we now know how the new movies are going to proceed

I suppose I'd rather have the EU that I grew up with whole - warts, bad books and all - than retconned to oblivion.

Although I will still hold out hope that Mara Jade makes it into the movies. OTP now and forever.

    I'm not surprised to be honest. They can't just rehash the same stories we know.

    Yes, it would be pretty hard to get the whole EU canon straight too. And addmittedly, there are some pretty awful stories therein. My hope is that we get some new stories in the Legends universe. I will miss my favorite characters if we don't get anything new with Wedge, Corran, Mara, Jaina, heck all of Rogue and Wraith squadrons, Thrawn, Paelleon, the list goes on and on.
