Looking for a little input as to whether to sign up for a half marathon this fall. I've ran the first 2 years now that they've been holding it but the issue is I'm running the Twin Cities full just 2 weeks before it. So I'm torn, I'd like to run it but not sure if I'll be up to it that soon. Never had that quick of a turn around. Thoughts???

I ran 2 half Mary's 7 days apart and lived to tell the tale. ???????????? I PR'd the first one but the 2nd one the weather was so dreadful I didn't have an opportunity so I supported a friend & first time 13.1 runner. Makes lots of time for recovery between the two. I think you'll be fine!

Is this your first full? It took me several weeks to feel fully recovered from my first full. But if you are just trying to keep a streak alive for the half, I would say go ahead and run it at a nice comfortable pace. If you are looking to PR the course, it might be a bit of a challenge.

    I'd like to run it

Do it, just understand you probably won't PR this year.

My favorite local half is one week after my first full. I am not doing it. If it was 2 weeks after the full, I'd sign up and run it for fun because it really is a good quality local event that I like supporting and their medals and shirts are awesome!

Pffff do it! I did two within 2 weeks of each other and PR'd both. Just take it kinda easy between them.
