I am preparing for a keynote in about a week on the Impact of Obesity on Breathing and Sleep (I am a Respiratory Therapist). I am wondering if anyone has noticed a significant improvement in breathing and/or sleep as they've lost weight?

I am also a Respiratory Therapist and I began my weight loss journey in November. I have noticed a change in my breathing, for the better, during sleep and also during exercise. It is a lot easier for me to get a deeper breath during exercise now that I have lost weight, 27 lbs, now.0

I breath better since I have lost weight but that could be due to two things. 1. The weight loss or 2. The fact that I exercise and move more. So is it the fat or the lack of movement that causes the breathing issues? My belief is that it is a combination of the two.0
