MFP, Fit Click And Fitness/Nutrition Plans

I posted awhile back about the possibility of a Leslie 90 day fitness program, similar to Insanity, Body Revo-
lution, p90x3 etc. Texasgardnr posted me back, suggesting I use the DVDs and equipment I already have to
create my own 90 day program. It took me awhile to warm up to the idea since I don't handle charts and spread-
sheets real well...mathematically challenged is an understatement. But I couldn't get the idea out of my head-it
was BRILLIANT.

I decided to research it. While doing so I found a free fitness site called Fit Click, which is a lot like MFP in that
it tracks your food eaten, calorie count, macronutrients etc, and also exercises done, calories burned etc. Plus
message boards, articles etc.

Where it differs from MFP is that it offers a wide variety of weight loss food plans for many different kinds of diet-
ers (diabetes, gluten free, men, women, beginners, advanced, etc. ) It's the same for fitness; all levels and types
of exercise including videos, completely customized. There's also an area for you to create your own fitness and
nutrition plans, and a place to share those with other users.

I'm not thinking of leaving here; I have too many special friends here and too much invested. This is home.

My question is do we have this type of set up at MFP and I just haven't found it? Or, what would it take to add
these features to MFP? How long would it take to set it up? Fit Click is ad supported, just like MFP, and I would
be willing to put up with even more ads if we could get these additional features.

Thoughts, comments, questions would be much appreciated.

Sue, I love it!! I never would have thought to research ideas on the computer. Now that was totally cool for you to go that route! I'm totally not math minded by any means either. The math gene skipped me completely while surrounding me with those among my family (both by birth and in laws) by spanning several generations who actually are able to think in that elusive language.... not me  . Thus the best I come up with is to write on a printed calendar sheet. Your words were too kind :flowerforyou: . I love the computers etc. but I'm also a paper - pencil person at heart lol.

What came to mind while reading your post is if you could suggest this in the "Website Suggestions/Feedback" section at the very bottom of the Message Boards/ Forum page in the Community area where one writes to tech support and those who manage and make this website a reality. Then they would receive the idea and can address it when such time is right.

The other thing I wonder is if something like this might be available elsewhere on the internet that would be a stand alone and not part of another fitness community for people who like to make plans for them selves. So one wouldn't be divided between belong to two separate communities with the same focus.
Just like there are websites with forms or interactive documents/ templates that deal with planning budgets, educational teaching plans, or home making lists and calendars for several examples.

Maybe there is one somewhere with a template(es) already in place that is geared to the exercise or fitness community at large with different needs??

    Just thinking out loud :glasses:

Mary, I went ahead and joined Fit Click through FB...I'm stuck on the Add Food and Add Exercise features. The
way it's set up is interactive like MFP, yet I'm still figuring it out-wish me well. It's great to know I'm not the only
math phobic person here, LOL.  I have to spend some concentrated time analyzing FC, and I have
to workout, so I think the rest of my day is spoken for. Would you be willing to check out FC and let me know
what you think? I'll keep you posted!!! And I LOVE your idea about running this past the mods at Website Sug-
gestions!!! I'll try to do that this week after I figure FC out. I don't handle logging in 2 places well at all...it adds
stress. But I feel like I have to do this for awhile until MFP comes up with something similar. Thanks for hearing
    me out.

I'm hoping for more feedback from all of you!!!
