LMAO! Totally agree. I could only do 35 lbs today. :frown:0

Add a few collars to the bar? lol
I love my fractionals ^^0 -
I bought weighted collars at my sporting goods store they are 3.5lbs together...
Other suggestions I have seen is getting "large" washers from hardware stores...you can get pretty big ones depending on the store...
and they typically will fit on a standard bar...might be able to get them to fit an olympic bar if you live in an industrial town/city.
My husband has access to all sorts (power engineer at a pulp mill)0 -
**giggle** Might have to get those incrementals soon myself....0

I pull a MacGyver when I need just a little extra weight...
Went to my local sporting goods place and got lead fishing weights instead. They're super cheap and you can get whatever size you want. Typically they sell them in 4-ounce increments. They have a hole at the top so run a plastic cable tie through there and tighten to the approximate size of your bar, and presto, just slide them right on any time you need them! I can add anywhere from 1/2 pound to 2 and 1/2 pounds easily.0 -

Huh. I was kidding about the 1 oz weights but this is actually a great idea. Thanks!0 -

clever! I bought 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1lb fractional pairs off amazon. Just make sure they are the 2" diameter if using the olympic barbell.0 -

One of my MFP friends gave me a suggestion when he saw I posted here...
Industrial magnets...which I thought was a great idea...
weight them on your food scale, mark the closest oz in permanent marker bam..fractionals.0 -

I like both this and your other idea (industrial washers). Problem is I need to source them and not pay a ridiculous shipping fee. For now, I'm just upping my reps till I get to 8 or so, then I'll up my weight.0
