my next power lift meet and cut

i'm 24 days out from my next [power lifting meet ! i'm so excited about being strong but also getting ready to do a nice long cut. I've been bulking but not tracking anything, just going with it for quite a few months. And i've put on 17 pounds since last year at this time. thats about 1.5 lbs a month, and happy with that as a gain rate, but its time to cut and see just whats happening under this layer of bubber! I put on my bodymedia armband and i'm tracking every calorie in and out now. I'm gonna give this cut about 3 months, and see what i can do. I wanna be ready for bikini season!

    the meet is 11 days out, and tonight starts the first of the 3 prep days. Wed, Sat and Mon, and then bed rest until june 1. I'm still hovering around 168lbs and desperately trying to get under 165 so i will make the light weight class. There is a fine balance between losing strength and losing fat, but at this point i dont care if i lose some strength, i wanna make that light weight class !

    I feel you on the weight thing- I'm teetering around 167 and hoping by june I can be 160- that will make me happy.

    Well i finished my meet, and now i'm cutting. no more creatine, lowering my protein shake intake, and religiously logging my calories at 1700 and i'll be monitoring my daily burn with my armband , i wanna get it to at least 2600 burn a day, so that means i'll be hitting the treadmill a little each day. I'm gonna be lifting massively during this cut so i lose as little muscle as possible. My new bf is so excited about seeing me cut up and buff, and he's super encouraging, making sure i'm only eating my measured portions and he is watching to make sure i'm not sneaking snacks in the kitchen late at night. Having soemone supportive is gonna make this a whole lot easier.

    So my meet results were good, i had PR's in my bench, pushed 143lbs. PR in my deadlift, pulled 287. But my squat still sucks, i sprained my knee three weeks before the meet, so i was only able to squat 192. I missed my second attempt for various reasons the stupidest of which was that i forgot to tighten my belt and realized it during my descent so i cut it short and was called for depth, i didn't break parallel. Stupid mistake. I hope i dont make that mistake again.
