Spironolactone - Side Affects

Due to the Mirena my doc put me on spironolactone to help control the cystic acne caused by the hormal imbalance. I'm on 100mg 1x a day. I was curious as to what your experiences have been with this drug? I'm a little concerned about the side affects. TIA

    I've been on Spiro for about 9 years, and have never had any side effects. I'm on a lower dose, though. Only 25mg/day, but I'm actually going to talk to my doctor in a couple weeks about increasing the dosage. I was put on it to help with the hirsutism, which I'm still having an issue with, so I'm going to look into a higher dosage.

    I was prescribed it without the Dr. going into details of the side effects, I tried it a few days, did more research and went off. I don't know if it was the meds or just having bad days, but I was super tired and felt sick. I'm now on a low dose BC, just to control hair and acne. Not sure if its any better for my bo.dy, but helps with the hirtuism and acne
