Foam Rolling?

Okay guys. I foam roll sometimes and feel nothing, no differences, no muscle stretching pain, NOTHING.
Yesterday in our warm up we snagged lacrosse balls and put them under our backs on the side and flexed our hamstrings. I felt no stretch in my hamstrings and when I stood up my back hurt. No matter how many spots on my back I moved the ball.
Does anyone else have trouble with this or not feel anything? I feel like a crossfit degenerate.

I usually feel the foam rolling if I am sore. When I first started doing Crossfit I must have used the foam roller 3 times a day due to being very sore. I swear it helped me recover a bit faster.
I still use it now after my workouts but I do not feel the same tension in my muscles when I roll. But I also am not as sore as I use to be when I first started.
Try using a harder roller. I bough a medium roller but think it is too soft for me now.

Might be worth having a coach take a look. Ideally you are supposed to pin the muscle down, then roll it against the bone. Might not be as effective if for some reason you aren't doing it that way.
Might also be time for the PVC pipe.0 -
I use the foam roller every morning and evening and also before and after every ride or working out. When I first started using it I had to really work on getting the right position to feel it working. Now I can just flop down on it and hit the muscles each time. Just takes practice, once you hit it right you will know.0

Foam rolling does not do much for me, a rumble roller, ouchie. It works. Talk to your coaches and try a harder roller.0
