Tri-State NY Spartan Sprint (Tuxedo NY) May 31st

Hey all,

Anyone doing the this Spartan Sprint. This is my second Spartan race. I just did the Citified one in NY a few weeks ago. I am hooked.

Just wondering how Tuxedo's compares to the one I just ran at Citifield. I assume it will be more intense with the mud and was told the first mile or two are all uphill.

    Hi! I did it last year with that guy up there, well sort of, he was too cool to run with us and wanted to be more competitive, I still beat his time...


    It's fun, it wasn't very muddy compared to the other Sprint, Super and Beast I did last year. The hills aren't as brutal as you might think either, there are a lot of people so the choke points give you a good breather before the intense climbs.

    It was actually painful to do the crawl because it was all sand and rocks, I have my knee braces that I double as knee pads but I'm still tough because they are braces!!!

    Thank god we run with like 19 chicks, to balance out your gayness.

    The walls are my favourite, they always need a boost!

    But I just did CitiField too, OP. Expect all different obstacles. None of the Crossfit style ones will be at Tuxedo, and it is a tough course. The standards will be there, the traverse wall, the herc hoist, the over/under walls, rope climb (over a mud pit this time), 8' walls, barbed wire crawl, etc.

    I saw a million photos from all my friends, and heard it was a great race. Hope you all had a blast!

    The race was awesome. Much harder than the Citifield race and the hills were brutal. The cargo net was tough but managed to get all obstacles done with no burpees(luckily). Can't wait until next year and may see if there are any other race in the area in the next few months.
