inositol and red yeast rice

So in doing some research with the resources I have available here at the hospital, I came across this combination.

Anyone else taking either one of these?

    I take mayo-inositol. I dont know how much it helps the periods and how much is the diet change and metformin but i heard it helps too and it was fairly cheap on Amazon and so decided to try it. I can live thru my periods now but i dont think it helps with weight loss.
