Hi there,
I am new to the group, a mommy to 19 month old b/g twins. I started my journey with MFP 2 weeks ago today. I have the app on my phone set to help me lose 1.5lbs/wk. The first week was great; I even pigged out a little on birthday goodies (fiance's birthday) the night before my weight check-in, and I still had lost 1.4lbs! However, today was my second weight check-in, and I've been following the calorie recommendations and keeping my food diary just like the week before, and I've lost no weight. I'm exactly the same weight as last week. I am grateful that I haven't gained any, but as I just started my period yesterday, I'm wondering if this is the cause? Has anybody else had this experience? Would love to get some feedback. Thank you!

I think you've got the right idea. I weigh daily (it's just my thing, I like seeing all of those data points create a larger trend) and I have always noticed that shortly before my period begins my weight will spike - sometimes up to three pounds! I believe it's mostly water weight since I always feel bloated around that time. As long as I stick to my calorie goal, I always see the spike disappear in a few days, along with whatever other weight I should have lost. Keep working your program and reevaluate next week - if you still haven't lost, it may be something else.0
