So this may be a silly one but, here goes. I just started two weeks ago on SL. My gym does not seem to have 2.5lb plates so that I can add my 5 lbs evenly on the bar.

Suggestions? What I did was squatted just the bar for the first two times, then added 10 lbs, but not sure I can keep adding 10 lbs every other time. If I add one 5 lbs to one side I'm afraid I'm going to be all wonky...no?

I'd pick up a pair of 2.5 lbs and just bring them with me. I know a lot of people do the same thing with fractional sets too.

either bring your own or ask the gym to purchase some.

but no you don't want to offset your weight, it should always be even.
