New motivation to get fit

One of the reasons I chose to have a sleeve was that I love to travel in SE Asia. Sometimes it can be warm and accepting and other times it has been very hard to be a big person in a generally slim society. The irony of this is that my first trip to India was horrid. My second trip to India was for the sleeve. India hurt me and saved me 5 years apart.
Anyway I have tried to do something special on each semi big birthday (30/35/40 etc). 35 - was arriving home to my country after 23 years,,,,an amazing and emotional experience. 40 - was riding through Kerala (India) on scooters with my son. It was amazing and I loved that birthday so much. 45 is coming up in November this year. I promised myself I would be fitter at 45 than I was at 35.
Tonight I bought flights to SE Asia for 2 weeks over my birthday for my husband and myself. I am always excited about trips but this one is just filling me with such joy. Every other trip has been ''oh what can I buy to wear over there?" I have never bought clothes in SE Asia except once when I had a tailor make me some to fit. But I never get to shop like many other travellers. I want to take an empty bag and fill it like they do. Well this time I think it might be on the cards. I have 5 months to get to where I need to be. I don't expect to be at my ultimate goal but I would love to be 100 lbs down from my highest weight. I am 56 lb already towards that. So I need to lose 45 in 5 months. That is 9 lb per month give or take. I want to say 'yes let's go do that' instead of 'okay we might be able to do that tomorrow once I recover etc etc". I want to have the energy that I have seen others oozing. I am beginning to feel it now but it will be amazing in another 45 lbs. I will still be about 50 lb overweight if i reach this mini goal but I will be a long way from where I was. Thanks amazing people for being an inspiration every day.

That's a great goal to have! And to me, it sounds very doable! I know exactly what you mean about wanting to buy clothes from where you have traveled to. And I love now being able to do that. I am so confident in your ability to hit that goal and be able to go over with "an empty suitcase" that I'm going to ask now for pictures of you in a few of those new clothes when you get back.
