Hi there! I just joined this group today. Starting the 5x5 program tomorrow:

I'm going to be doing most of the work on a bowflex system as I don't belong to a gym. I do have an olympic barbell and some free weights at home.

I'm 5'8, 172 pounds and am looking to lose a few inches around the midsection and get down to about 150 pounds. I take in about 1700 calories a day, and really watch my macros!

The lifting i was into before was mostly isolated muscle groups and I found after a couple months I haven't really seen any inches lost, so hopefully compound exercises will work better for me.

    Im running ICF as well and I'm having difficulty picturing how you're going to do the program on a bowflex.
