Well the holiday was not good for me. I really blew it this weekend and I'm pretty certain I will not lose any weight this week. It will probably be gain. All well, back at it tomorrow. Other than that it has been a fantastic weekend. lots of fun with family and friends.

Busy match weekend with 2 of them. This morning I am down 1lb since last week. Excruciatingly slow, however it is still better than a month of going nowhere. I will take it!! What sleep I did get was pretty bad as we had the weekend party goers camped out and they were loud until 4am. Holiday weekends (summer in general) sucks with all the people that come up here. It has been a long time since we had a hard party group though.

My wife made some nut cereal that is really fantastic even if all you can eat is a sniff..

I had a fun weekend but blew any semblance of clean eating. I'm starting my 10 day reorientation again for Carb Nite as of this morning. I'm not sure if it's the sugary and starchy foods that I'm eating on my CN or if I need to blame my in-laws on my crappy eating. (I like to blame them for lots of things...) I think it's really the sugary stuff that sets me off though. My next CN will be a clean version as I initially intended. Just the thought of being able to eat the crappy stuff started to sound better and better, but it's just not working for me as it ends up carrying over for several days. My diary is currently attrocious. It was kind of fun eating that way although I'm still very congested which always happens when I eat packaged sugary crap.

Great podcast this week! I've missed Roger's podcast of the last few months.

Have a great week everyone. Sounds like we are all getting back on track! :)

Well, it's nice to know I wasn't the only one that "blew it" over the long weekend! LOL Ate a heck of lot more than I usually do... and a lot more non-clean eating stuff. Very nervous about the weigh in tomorrow and I'm considering waiting until Saturday morning to weigh in. Or not at all this week. Nice thing about being Free Lifetime member at Weight Watchers is that I only have to weigh in once a month.

I have now done two runs this week (3.84 miles on Monday and 2.01 miles this morning). And so far, knee is doing well. No pains (other than what I'm imagining...) so far. Really hope this continues so I can run the Tough Mudder pain free. Going to do three more short runs between now and when we leave next week.

Howie - Are you back on track? Feeling good? It's hard when you think you might gain, but you've been doing this long enough to know it's all just part of the journey. I find it very motivating when I can get myself right back on track and letting go of my "bad days." I used to beat myself up (okay, I still do, but not nearly as bad or for as long...) for the bad days. Had a little trouble moving forward after this weekend, but got my head back in the game yesterday.

Mark - do you live in area people like to camp? I know that my husband and I avoid camping on Memorial weekend, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekend because that tends to bring out the "amateurs." The people that just go camping to drink and party.

Angela - I'm sure you will get back on track! I had a bunch of foods I don't normally eat, totally enjoyed it while I was eating it, but then regretted it later when I felt icky from all the sugar, starch, and other stuff. Wish I could remember that feeling all the time so I wouldn't keep doing that myself! LOL

Hope everyone is having an awesome week!!

This area has a lot of "summer cabins" and other property that people own. There are a few camping spots on State Land that generally get used during the summer. However, there are a number of us who live up here full time, and three homes in a row right where we live. On the other side of the road are the cabins and spots. One of the owners gave permission for some family and friends to use her property for the weekend. If they had been in the camping spot a little over a mile down the road it would have been fine. Lots of loud dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, and the ever present whine of gas RC cars. Then of course the loud music and yelling until 4am on both nights (called the Sheriff at 2am on Sunday). I put the group at about 20 adults..

Normally all of this is not an issue. Yes you get the dirt bikes and 4 wheelers up and down the road, but not the loud campers across the road till all odd hours. We are in a small valley, so sound carries and bounces around too. We enjoy camping as well, and avoid the same large weekends. What really sucked is we were doing the matches, so up and gone by 6am, and not back until 8pm, then hardly sleeping. The second match did not go well, particularly with the 3. 1/2 hour drive to Hamilton.

Enough doom.. I can say I am more hungry that usual, and I just don't know what that is about. It usually means I have not eaten enough protein and fat, but that is not the case this time. Stress let down?? I know on Monday I wanted to throw it all out the window and head for Denny's, however I was too tired/stressed to drive the 70 miles to get there. See, living in the sticks can be a blessing at times :D

Hi! I am new to the group. Had a great carb nite and enjoyed tots of rich chocolate cake. I lost weight but since my weight fluctuate so much I want to wait until my 3rd carb nite to be certain of my weight loss. Either way I am stoke! I've been in a plateau for long time.
It was a tough weekend for me though. One of my rescued husky passed away... It was an emergency situation. Basically he had bad ulcers that ate through the lining of his intestinal wall, there was nothing they can do.
I wanted to open a bottle of wine and eat comfort food but somehow in the haze of tears and intense grief, I had a moment of clarity and did not cave. I'm still sad and would burst into tears unexpectedly but I am grateful to have known him. He was a damn fine dog. A great sled leader who can always find the trail when I am not sure where the trail is, always kept the line tight, never a slacker but a team cheerleader and ALWAYS rearing to go!
For those who have pets consider pet insurance. Do you know they charge BY THE MINUTE at the emergency?!!
Anyways I hope everybody is having a good week! :)

Yes Stacy I am doing much better and I am back at it. I went a little over yesterday with a fruit smoothie and a two alcoholic drinks but not too bad over all. However it was not a real healthy food day. The majority of my calories came from ribs at the local AAA ball park. It was buck a bone night. lol Today is going better but still could be healthier I need to get some fresh veggies in. Tonight we are going out but I already have my meal entered. It will be a chicken wrap with fruit cup. The scale is showing 10 lbs heavier this morning but a lot of that is water retention from all the salty food. It will mostly be gone by next weeks weigh in and maybe I will even show a loss by then.

Welcome to the group heronh! I'm so sorry to hear about your dog, that is always hard. You did great by not caving and going for the comfort food.

Well... I didn't officially weigh in at my Weight Watcher meeting this morning. I stepped on the scale there and was up 2.4, so I decided that I would weigh in on Saturday instead. Give myself a chance to get a little of that off! LOL

Welcome herohn! So sorry to hear about your dog. It's so hard to lose a pet, especially one that we are close to. But good job on not eating for comfort. That is a huge deal! I am an emotional eater and I'm pretty sure losing a pet would put me over the edge.

Kilosierra - hope you are feeling better today! Mmmmm... mashed potatoes...

Just 8 more days until the Tough Mudder! Getting excited to meet everyone... but getting anxious about the race!

General Tso chicken is my fav!

Stacy I did the same thing. I was up 10 lbs two day before weigh in then on weigh in day I was up 5 and now I'm only up 1. So I just marked it as a maintain because I know I did not gain 10 or 5 lbs from one bad day. So I should have a loss by this Friday.

    Thank you Howie and Montana_girl.!

I have my 3rd carb nite yesterday, might have overdone it but we'll see! fingers crossed. Found a new Chinese hand pulled noodled place. I love noodles but hand pulled noodles are different. The closet comparison I can make is like eating fresh pasta.

I did good last week even with my carb nite, I average 1500K a day.
Between Muay Thai and jogging I burned quite a bit of calories for the week. I started Muay Thai when I started Carb nite and I love it!!! Its a full body workout AND you are actually learning a skill.

I will post my exact weight loss progress after 4 carb nites. Haven't update my weight progress in my MFP yet but looking forward to my 4th carb nite.

    How was everybody's weekend?
Saturday was a busy day for me, big dog adoption weekend. I placed my foster who is a pure bred, gorgeous, mellow Siberian husky that is good with kids and small in a great home. He had people lining up for him! Interviewed over 10 families and finally picked one. On to the next foster!!
