Good morning, peeps!
Let's start the day with some body love. Fill in the blank: I love my ____________.
I know you can find at least ONE body part to love!
I love my blue eyes. Everyone in my family has a different shade. Mine are icy blue.
I love my butt. It's strong and muscled.
I love my brain. It's quick!

Ha, Julie, while you were posting, I was editing to be more specific... wanna try a body part?0
-
I love my breasts - I have a rockin' pair!
I mostly love my bootie - while it is still bigger than I like, it is definitely what is called a "ghetto bootie."
I love my waist - while the rest of me is still much larger, I have a moderately normal sized waist.
(When shows talk about shape, I'm like a plus-sized hourglass! LOL)0 -
I love my hair color - younger I was more red and as I get older it has reds mixed with blonds and light browns.
I love my stronger legs
I love my nose - I see it on my son and it looks so cute on him it must also look good on me I just couldn't see past criticisms I had0 -
I love my toes!! I am often complimented after a manicure and all summer long I am wearing sandals to show off the great colors of nail polish I wear!! (But no...I do not have a toe fetish! LOL )0

I love my red hair. I love my eyes and my smile. My ankles aren't bad.

Morning!
I love my nose...most of the time. It's a pretty good nose.0 -
Good Morning everyone!! Hope you all have a wonderful day today
I love my eyes. LOL I wish I loved my butt but even when I have lost weight, it is still flat haha0 -
Good morning folks!
This is actually really difficult for me. I generally feel like I'm getting more okay with myself overall, but when it comes to specific body parts all I can think of are criticisms. Is that weird?
I love my lips... on the rare occasion that they're not chapped! I think they have a nice shape.
Today I do Week 3 Day 1 of Couch to 5k and do my strength training stuff. My left shoulder is killing me because of the sunburn I got on Saturday  I'm not sure how that's going to work with my arm exercises. I might have to leave a couple of things off and I'm not happy about that. I guess I'll just have to keep this in mind the next time I go out for a long time -- reapply, reapply, reapply!0 -
Morning!!
I love my... ummm... well... I guess my smile. I'm working on loving more!0 -
I have to be honest here, I don't love any body part at all. I am grateful I can walk, I am grateful I can see and hear and I have use of my arms and I can do everything on my own and I am grateful I don't have something worse than I have healthwise. Love any body part, no. But I do love my wisdom and my sense of humor.0
-
I feel you Julie. I hate to be one of those people who take for granted I can walk, etc. But when we get down to it, I just find fault in everything. I could say I love my high. Cheekbones, but they make my face look even fatter. I love my big books, but I seriously hate them with a passion. I love my eyes, but the color is blah, not blue enough and my eye lashes are too skimpy and my lids are starting to droop. There is faults in everything I see to stop me short of loving any one thing.0
-
Oh my. I have Rats fingers. I DO love big books! Its my big BOOBs I have a problem with.0
-
Ladies, you just hit on the true point of the exercise... seeing imperfections and loving your body anyway. Heather, would you ever tell your daughter she shouldn't love her eye color? Or skimpy lashes?
I'm really working on my "fake it til you make it" skills, so even if my first instinct is to say I don't love anything on my body, I'm trying to push through that, say it anyway, and make it true. Like saying, "I approve of myself." Even if I don't, I'll say it anyway.
One common element among the obese , I think, is the extraordinary amount of perfectionism, criticism of self, shame, and self-loathing we abuse ourselves with. My eating disorder shrink is really working with me on this idea of not having to be perfect to be beautiful and wonderful and worthy of love. If we held everyone to our own stringent standards, no one would be loveable.
I'm also going to love my big boobs today. Many times they helped me cross the border from Greece to Bulgaria with a tote bag full of fruit and veggies that I wasn't supposed to carry over.0 -

Julie, I bet you love the hands you use to pet and groom your animals. I bet Mowgli loves your lap. My Shasta loves to sprawl across my chest for a purring belly rub, so I know she loves both parts.0 -
Good Morning Everyone,
I love my…
Feet (my feet never got the memo that the rest of me was expanding...LOL!) I have cute, thin, dainty feet and toes. Only problem is, it makes carrying this excess weight a problem. But I still LOVE that I have a skinny girl body part.
Eyes - I have great eyes. I can't wait to thin out my face a little bit more to showcase them.
Smile - I was blessed with naturally straight teeth.
To be honest...I've really not struggled with body image issues throughout most of my life. In fact, some parts of me wishes that I would have been a bit more self-conscious of my figure. It truly became something I only ever thought about when it was time to try-on clothing.
NEVER underestimate the power of denial.
Maybe if I would have been more self-aware...I wouldn't have let everything get so out of hand.
Now, at the age of 33, almost 34, I feel it in every step, every bend of the knee, and every time I climb up my stairs.
Hopefully once this weight is gone, I never forget what carrying all of this weight felt like.
Have great day guys!

Morning Angie! That is good that you accepted your body. Saved you a lot of unnecessary pain and self loathing.
Karen, I get what you are saying! My daughter, oh my. There is absolutely not an inch of her I do not love. She came from me so that is the best part of me ever!0 -
Oh oh oh. I did come up with one. Hop this isn't too big. On my phone so can't adjust size. But my nail beds. They are long so even though my nails are short, I just cut them so they don't break off, they still look somewhat long because I have long nail beds and Lon fingers. And I like my tan I have right now. There0

Yes.. another reply. More boob talk. I've never seen so much boob talk and no men around in my life. Hahaha. My husband obviously loves the girls. I hate them because of many reasons but I think the main reason is people feel like they are free game to comment on. Yes, I know they ginormous. I am FAT! I happen to carry a lot of it in my chest. You don't see me commenting on your fat butt or arms, do you? Why do you think it is ok to point out how big my boobs are constantly? Don't you think I am already self conscious of it? If you ask me one more time where I buy my bras or tell me I should go for a real fitting, I am going to motorboat you until you pass out. That will shut you up!
Ok, I'd never say or do that, but that is what I feel like doing.0 -
Can't say i'm a big fan of my boobs, but that may be a gender thing. Hmmm... What part of me do I like. Well I guess I like my legs, anything from the knee down (not these big old thighs). I like my legs and feet, despite calluses and the fact that all the skin seems to be pealing off of them from a month of walking in the wrong shoes, because they take me places. It's also the one part of my body that doesn't put on a lot of weight. That and my arms. When i can look at my legs and arms i feel normal again.
Now i should really get up, eat something and do my yoga.0 -
Hello hello!
Well let's see, I love my : hair, eyes and ummmm that's hard. I am trying to be more accepting of what I have but right now, it all still needs work, so I am not in love with my calf muscles but they are there, just still hiding a bit under the fat
I had a pretty good day yesterday until after I had completed my diary and then the munchies hit, and of course I had to eat. I went back and logged it so it's there, but man I should have just went to sleep but was up watching movies with hubby. Today is going better, but need to drink more water, the weather here is making me feel blah, it's been warm, muggy and rainy every afternoon so far and more rain coming in the next hour. I need some fresh air!! I made some progress in the kids rooms with their old clothes though, so that felt good. I need to do a major overhaul on my closet next.
What is for dinner tonight? We are having leftovers to clean out fridge, Mexican lasagne and 3 cheese chicken alfredo bake with salad.0 -
Left overs here too pork roast for DS and baked potatoes with meat sauce for us. I am the same during movies, it is so ingrained in me to eat while I watch a movie it is crazy. The other evening we watched something and since we had no smart popcorn left I ended up having too much cheese, crackers and of all things pickled onions lol.0

Oh man, Tha reminds me. I haven't even been telling y'all what has been going on with me. My NES is back in full force. Last night was almost a full pint of krazy cookie dough ice cream and BBQ chips. What I do is since it happened at 12:20 am, I split it up and tracked some for yesterday and some today so I am not going over my calories. Still not proud and still up in weight. Tomorrow is my monthly weigh in too.: -(
O idea what's for dinner.0 -
I lost.. after the craziness of Memorial Day weekend and the Gyro.. I lost. Only .4 of a lb but it doesn't matter to me.. it is going down and that is all I care about.0

Good evening all. Today has been a crazy day. Spent the greater part of the day in the ER with MIchael only to be told they don't know what's causing his pain. Very aggravating. Then of course, there were about 5 million things that needed to be done when I got home because nothing got accomplished during the day. Finally have a few minutes to sit down and relax. Now as far as this body part that I love, that's a real hard one for me. Right now in therapy, we are working on that. Karen, you made a lot of sense to me when you was talking about the perfectionism attitude. I have that kind of thinking 100%. I can always tell you the pitfalls with every part of my body but find it very had to say I like any part of it. I do like the "fake it till you make it" attitude though. If I was forced to say what part I like I guess I would have to say, I like my knees. They are both knee replacements but because I had my arthritic/cartilage on cartilage knees replaced I can now walk farther because of no pain. I had walked for so many years with constant pain that it is so wonderful now that I don't have it. Hope everyone is doing great!!0
