Count me in too! I'm Kim and I have about 75 lbs to lose. I'd love to knock out 10 of them by July.

    Hi All,

I joined MFP in 2013 and fell off the wagon because I restricted too much. I knew I was gaining weight, but a pic of me put the bullet in my butt to get back on the right track. I found my way back to MFP at the beginning of this year and so far, so good! Good luck everyone!!!

    Hi everyone,

I have been a member of MFP for sometime but only participated intermittently. I would really like to lose some of the weight I gained in my first year of grad school and have been pretty dedicated to tracking the last few weeks which has helped get me back to my last "low" weight on MFP. Now I would really like to kick it up a notch during the summer.

As far as exercise, I aim to get cardio at the gym 3-4 times a week for 45 minutes and do 2 sessions of strength training. I also use a fitbit and aim for 10,500 steps a day plus 45 minutes of "vigorous" exercise so that even on the days I don't get the to gym, I still have a goal to move.

My challenge for June will be that I have a ton of travel - a wedding in ME, visiting family in Seattle and a conference in Las Vegas. Having a challenge and a group to be accountable for should help keep me on track. Thank you for starting this!

    Hi All,

I joined MFP in April of this year and I'm loving it. I did the 10 lbs in April and 10 lbs in May challenges and both times I missed my goal by quite a bit. So I'm jumping in again and glad that all of you are, too. Good luck, everyone! And a big thanks to Carl for keeping this challenge going!

Social support is key in any endeavor like this so I'm glad to join a group with similar goals. I started MFP 2 weeks ago, and have lost nearly 2 pounds. The one pound a week can be excruciating for me. I want faster results like everyone else - however I will be happy if I lose 5 by July 1 knowing that it's more likely to stay off if I go slowly and focus on behaviors instead of numbers.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the group and the challenge, Carl. I am keen to knock out those 10 lbs! I am a walker and not a very disciplined eater, so hope to get some discipline by continuing with MFP. I find the daily food log to be a big help. Lots of water helps too, though I usually forget!

    SW/245; CW/232; GW/160. I am M/5'8".

Please feel free to add me if you'd like to have a mutually supportive friend who logs daily.

OK folks, here's to you! 10 lbs in 30 days! We got this!

Hey All! I live on Vancouver Island in Canada. After 6 years trying to get pregnant, including two IVF cycles I decided to get that weight off once and for all!!! It's the first time I've ever had to actively try to loose weight, and I was beside myself about it! I put on about 25 lbs over the 6 years, and am so proud to say that I've already lost about 15 of it, but still have the last 10!! Just in the last three weeks I've gotten serious with MFP again (and lost about 8 of the pounds already gone in that time). This time around I am using weekly meal prep, which has made ALL the difference!!

I definitely plan on having the last 10lbs gone by July!! This group is just the spot for me!! Feel free to friend add me!! :)

    Hello All,
Looking forward to motivation and healthy living. Been struggling for a while and I think it's because I've been looking at the total weight I need to lose rather than "baby steps" Thank you so much for starting this group!

Hi, I'm in. That's my second attempt to loose weight on MFP. I tried different things, but MFP is the only one that works without constantly feeling hungry and thinking about food . It would be great to complete the challenge and make new friends. My CW is 154 and my UGW is 122.
  • HI! I just joined MFP. I need some inspiration and accountability. Losing 10 lbs is a good place to start.

    Hi everyone!

Since joining MFP on April 2, 2014, I've lost 19.8lbs, and hope to never look back. I came in 1.4lbs shy on the June challenge, but as 1013carl said in response to my final weigh-in, June is a brand new month.

I'm starting the month (6/2) at 240.2, and I'd love to be at 230.2 by the 30th!

ETA: Reaching 230 will put me just nearly at my halfway point to onederland!

Hey All, I've been on MFP for awhile and thus have been yo-yo-ing back and forth for awhile. I started, I believe at 281 and got down to 225 and bounced back up to 241lb. Now I've started this challenge at ~234lbs and I want to see a portion of that gone by July. Exercise isn't my problem, eating is. So I'm targeting that as a focus without, hopefully, becoming obsessive about it. Good luck all!

I am a 39 year old female who has been fighting weight problems since I was 13 or 14. From 13 or 14 until I was 16 or 17 I was anorexic and taking diet pills. My parents are both over weight so I didn't want to be like them (my dad was over 400 lbs and my mom was over 200 lbs). When my then boyfriend (now husband) found out he helped me stop the diet pills and start to eat a little more. When I graduated high school I was around 100 lbs. Slowly over the years I gained more and more weight. Then in 2005 I had a hemiplegic migraine attack (a migraine that comes with stroke like symptom). I continue to get them to this day. I had to quit work because my migraines are not under control. It also make if hard on my weight. When I get nausea I tend to eat crackers or toast and drink soft drinks. I recently found myself at 191. That was my last straw I am determined to lose the weight. The only problem is I have no support at home, that is why I am here. I don't want to be like my parents or my sister (she is 4 years younger than me and over 200 lbs). I want to be healthy and feel better both physically and mentally.
