A Bit of Frustration with How I Carry the Weight

I know that this can be a bit more common with PCOSysters. 75% of the extra weight I carry seems to be in my lower abdomen. Some went to my arms, a little to my inner thigh, a surprisingly large amount to my ankles (they're a small body part, but geez I have fat ankles). Sadly, none went to my chest. I would have liked to get some there so that I could buy bras more easily (a 36AA is almost impossible to find in a store and I need to try on, even if over a shirt to ensure the fit before I buy).

It's just so frustrating because clothes fit oddly on me. As someone with a heavier waist, but with no hips or butt, pants just hang so oddly. I just want the weight to come off in the one place that it's needed the most. Most of my body looks a bit different, but not crazy different with the added weight. The bottom of the stomach is where almost all of it is. It is also the one place that is losing the weight the slowest, by far. I can feel a bit of a difference in the ways that my clothes fit, but I cannot actually see a difference at all. Now, that could be chalked up to the fact that I see myself day-to-day, except I do notice my arms and legs losing weight.

Anyone else experience frustration with something like this?

    YES!

Once i went low carb, i lose 5 inches in my tummy even tho i didnt lose more than 5lbs and i either didnt lose anywhere else or lost less than .5 inches elsewhere. So the carbs and/or milk were bloating me and now i guess you can see a difference. My daughter will ask me if i've eaten carbs because my stomach is noticeably bigger after eating them apparently.

So ill keep low carbing it and try to lose weight elsewhere but its frustrating.

    YES! Definitely!

Initially I wanted to lose 22 lbs. I got to my goal weight (which was my pre-pregnancy weight) and after a while decided I was tired of still looking pregnant so I decided to try to lose some more weight ... down to a weight I haven't seen since I was 20.

Amazingly, I eventually met that goal (following the Dukan Diet. At the time I didn't know higher-fat was better for people with PCOS, but it did work in terms of weight loss)! I'm kind of shocked to be the size I am now, which is a size smaller than what I ever thought I would fit in again ... but for sure my belly is still disproportionate to the rest of me, which has gotten fairly slim. My waist measurement is still a size bigger than my hips measurement (and my legs even smaller than that), so finding pants--esp skinny jeans and leggings--that fit in the waist but aren't too baggy in the hips, let alone the legs, is challenging! It is definitely better now than it was 30 or even 10 lbs ago though. I'm planning to start more weight lifting and HIIT to see if those help.

    Yes ten times over yes~!!!!!!

I went low carb high fat. It works believe it or not. I've lost about 4" in my lower ab. since last month. I can easily fit into an xl capri or shorts. I kinda feel like if I could use that fat down there my boobs would be perky and I'd even be happy if they added some into my flat butt. LOL :) Oh well you've gotta find what works for you. Keep tweeking your macro's and exercises and hopefully you'll find what works well with your body. Good luck :flowerforyou:

"a bit" of frustration lol, I am full out angry about it lol. Even when I was 130 my stomach used to bulge out. I always wondered why women fatter than me could rock a bikini but my proportions were all wrong and I had preggo tummy.

High fat/low carb may work....I'm still too overweight to really tell.
