I found a quote and wanted to shart it with you all!

"You don't have to be better than EVERYBODY ELSE, you just have to be better than YOU HAVE EVER BEEN."

I placed the capitalized words in since the image had everthing in capital letters. I know I have to remember that my fitness journey is different from everyone else's and because of that, I can't compare myself to others.

I think it's good for all of us to remember. This is all about bettering ourselves.

As we head into week 2, I wanted to let you know that I have substituted that fitness class in for my mile, but I am happy to report that I am good for the week! I got a late mile in on Friday evening and an early mile in Saturday morning. I volunteered at the Omaha Women's Triathlon and walked a couple of miles there as well.

Thinking I'll do some intervals with stairs at the gym today, so I'll do a total of a mile (12 laps on the gym's track), but it will include a flight of stairs (down and up) between each lap. And after mowing at my grandmother's.

Happy Monday everyone!!

I missed a couple of days but getting back on track. I'm still aiming for a mile-and-a-half a day. I managed 4.5 miles yesterday at the gym. I'm behind by 1.5 miles which I should be able to get in today with my other 1.5 miles.

That is a great quote as well.

New to the group so I just started today. So far I'm at 100% lol.
Great job on doing 4.5 at the gym! That's fantastic.

I missed yesterday due to the crazy storms we had in the area, but I plan on going at least 1.5 miles today to start making up for it. Who knows, I might go 2.

My goal for this fall (since I am a run/walker) is to run a 10k on September 14th, only walking for water breaks. Certainly I can do two miles without stopping, right?!
