Got my old records

I got the fax from my doctors office today. Not much of the info surprised me except I could definitely see the correlations between my weight, ^BP, and BCP. I didn't know this but they thought I had PCOS at age 15. The findings were insignificant, but later that year they put my on Ortho Tri Cyclen for extreme cramping and acne. Then the weight started to creep on. When I was 18 I raised concern like "um, Im fat" and she changed me to Yasmin. At my next annual my BP was a litter higher, my weight a lot higher (24lbs more) and still having acne issues. They did bloodwork and my DHEAS was 426, so they referred me to an endo. The did the intravaginal ultrasound and said my uterus and ovaries were normal size with a perfect mid-line echo(?) But it says nothing about cysts or no cysts.

Currently my weight is my biggest issue, but the acne closely follows. My BP is typically 138/90 and I have just learned I'm insulin resistant.

Thoughts?

I just got some blood tests myself and did some comparing to old records as well. My DHEA is 433 and I have elevated prolactin levels as well. I too have noticed a direct correlation between my results and my weights. Believe it or not my DHEA levels used to be higher! Since I have lost some weight my testosterone levels are normal and everything else has regulated so hopefully in time, so will the DHEA levels and prolactin. Just keep on truckin along and fingers crossed your BP and test levels will straighten themselves out. I too have "normal" ovaries and uterus. My Gyn said PCOS name is misleading because not all of us have cysts. It is more of a hormonal issue. High DHEA can also signal issues with your adrenal if your wondering if it isnt PCOS.
