Determining serving size

Hi All! I have a question about how I should accurately measure food when the label has conflicting information. For example, I've been adding PB2 to my smoothies. The serving size is 2TBS (12 grams). Well, I was measuring out 2 tablespoons and counting those calories. But this morning I wanted to add a little more so I used my scale to weigh. 2 TBS was WAY over 12 grams, even though they should be the same. 3 TBS was about 40 grams when it should have been 18. And I checked my scale to make sure I was measuring in grams. What should I record? The grams or the TBS? I have had this problem before when it gives measurements in cups and grams or oz.

Personally I feel weighing is way more accurate than measuring. The only things I feel comfortable measuring are liquids but I do know that some people weigh those too.

I weigh anything not liquid most of the time.
