What Counts?

Options
I've been asked this question by a couple of people, so I wanted to get your input.

I already think any type of movement that would normally move you from one place to another works, like running, walking, biking, etc., but what about our every day movements? Should we be able to wear our pedometers all day/night and count any and all movements? Should we only count anything over and above the every day?

Thoughts?

    - This is what I'm doing - only counting activity that is above the every day. However, if someone else wants to count their every day steps, that's a-ok with me. Maybe that is something which will help motivate the person to move a little more throughout the day. This is a group challenge, but really it is all about what helps motivate each and every individual (heck, maybe it is even just easier for some to take a daily total vs. a number of different slices throughout their day).
