So Annoyed! Just realized my almonds have Sucralose

So, as some of you have more than likely seen, I have had previous posts about being upset due to chewing too much sugar free gum without thinking about the artificial sweeteners in it (some days almost an entire pack)!! Well, I just realized today, 32w 1d, that the Emerald 100-calorie snack pack of almonds I've been eating for months, has sucralose! WTF?! I just thought they were 100-cal almonds because there are not that many in the package. It did not occur to me too look at the dang ingredients on them. Are you kidding me?! So annoyed right now... I bought them because they're convenient.

Ugh! I am really feeling like a failure this pregnancy... Who knows what I have done to my little one!

You haven't done anything wrong. You are human. I highly recommend that you read the book "Expecting Better" by Emily Oster. It should ease your mind about some of the things you've been worrying about. PS - I had gestational diabetes and we were allowed to eat three servings of artificial sweeteners a day. PPS - you are doing more harm by worrying about everything and stressing, IMHO.

Don't worry about it. What's done is done.

Do you have any idea how much coke I've drank in this pregnancy? :ohwell: I craved it, what was I supposed to do?

I'll second the "Expecting Better" book comment. If I can find the link to the NPR Podcast on it, I'll post it here. The author is an economist and talks about the statistical probability of many of things we all stress about. And the risk is minimal. I didn't read the book (I was starting my 3rd trimester when it came out so, honestly, it didn't matter at that point anyway) but enjoyed the podcast episode.

The moral of the story is that, in all likelihood, everything is going to be all right. And if it's not, odds are it is because of something out of your control!

You & the baby will be fine. My mom did heroin when she was pregnant with me. I have a 4.0 gpa & am a fully functioning human being. Humans are very resilient. I watched everything I did through my last pregnancy & my daughter has severe delays. There are many things out of your control. Try not to worry & if the almonds are bothering you, throw them out. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! :)

Thanks Mirandamom :). My hubby tells me everyday to not worry so much! I try, I really do.

JustAnotherGirl :-) LOL!!! I hear you girl. I hear you. I need to enjoy these next 7+ wks.

Lisapr123 - Yes, let me know if you find that podcast and I will look as well.

alexluevano19 - I know I need to just let things go and stop worrying about EVERY THING. It's pathetic. I hate it that I'm like this.

Thank you ladies for replying and ultimately... making me feel better. I have to stay off Dr. Google and also stop stressing about things out of my control. You're right, I chewed A TON OF GUM but what can I do about it now... NADA!!!
