Well, the best advice is: Nothing new on race day.

Run in clothes you have tried running in before and you know won't chafe you or make you too hot/cold, you get the idea. During training you should have figured out what foods sit well with you during your runs and which do not. Stick to those. Same for dinner the night before.

As for race day, the night before this is my checklist:

Running clothes (top, bottom, socks, shoes, sports bra)
    Heart rate monitor + watch
iPod/music (if I'm planning on running with music)
    Sunglasses
    Hat/visor/headband
Warm up clothes (if needed, or toss aways)
    Bib with safety pins attached
Race timing chip/band/whatever they're having you wear unless it's stuck to the bib already
    A POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!

I think that's everything :) The last one is the most important. If you forget all the rest, remember the last one.

And don't worry so much. It's your first race so you'll set a Personal Record no matter what. Enjoy yourself! :)

    Body glide (for longer races)
Fuel (whatever snacks/foods I plan on consuming)
    Water container (backpack/handheld bottle/belt/etc)

Thank you so much for the reply! :) I hear some runners use honey for fuel. I was trainning for months before my gramndmother died last month, so I havent trained since unfortunaly and I forgot what my routine was like so I'm going prepared but unprepared at the same time.
