Pretty much everyone weighs less and looks leaner in the morning and gets fluffier throughout the day. My question is: When should you evaluate yourself? In the morning I feel great and happy where I am at. By evening I feel fluffy and clothes are tight which makes unhappy feels. Will additional fat loss make this go away? Or does this happen at any weight or body fat. Just curious.

Really as long as you are consistent with when/how you track is what matters.
I like weighing am and pm but I'm lazy and mostly on weigh in the am.
Pee
Coffee ON
Scale
Track # in excel
Have cup of coffee.
For me that's how I do it. Every time.
Eliminates the pesky what did I eat today and how is it impacting me aspect.0 -
Jo- do you weigh yourself am & pm every day? Intriguing. I weigh myself every day in the am. First thing when I get up after I pee. I like to be as consistent as possible.
As far as will you ever reach a point of no longer feeling fluffy? That's a good question and one that I've wondered myself. I would venture to say that everyone is going to feel fluffy at times no matter what their weight or BF% is. But I will say that for myself, when I used to weigh 100 lbs./ 20 ish % BF I had many more moments of feeling fat/fluffy than I do now- which is at 110 lbs./22 ish % BF. I think feeling better comes with having more LBM. For me, weightlifting in general and putting on LBM has made my body feel more 'solid' and has instilled more self-confidence.
I was- for a while- but I can't get a consistent fix- because some nights I'm home at 11 some nights I"m home at 7... and I like to aim for a consistent time/setting- like the morning- so it's not good- but I like the idea of doing both- just to see.
But yes- first thing in the morning- after I pee- no pants on- every day. Monday's is usually not good- I typically have a pizza and beer or something salty- so i'm always retaining more Monday morning- it sucks. But suck it up butter cup- for the SCIENCE- so I do it almost every day LOL my self esteem isn't tied to that number but it can be taxing sometimes that's for sure!
speaking of salty things- off to go make my popcorn.0 -

Interesting. I do want to get to a point to feel comfortable enough to put on more LBM but like I said by evening I always feel fluffy. So going by that I figure I am not ready to bulk. But it sounds like it happens even at a lower BF as well.0 -
balls. responsded- and then it went away- now I'm scared as to where my reply went.
I typically weigh only AM.
I was doing AM/PM- but my night schedule varies so I can't get a consistent time in- and all things being UNEQUAL- I wanted something consistent about the PM time slot other than stumblefking my way into bed (typically what happens)
I just like to know for science sake- but it's to inconsistent- so I stick to AM's- same as you- after pee time.
monday's are rough- it's always a high number- usually have something that makes me retain- sucks. But for the SCIENCE!!! I do it anyway.0 -

Lol, look above- your reply incorporated into mine. So at least it's not out there in cyberspace, hehe
Yes, I weigh myself daily for the science too. Sometimes the low numbers are just as bad as the high ones, cause I'm like 'oh no, I'm losing my muscles!' Or 'oh no I'm packing on the fat!' But the numbers really don't bother me anymore, because they all average and work out in the end. And the crazy jumps in numbers are just water weight changes anyway.
OP- if your BF% is not terribly high I would consider bulking (especially if you're at a point where you can't really lose much more weight or you want to put on some LBM). And if you feel lean in the morning and fluffy at night you're probably just retaining water throughout the day.0 -
I am at about 23% in the morning and 24-25% by evening. My goal right now is to see if I can get to about 21% and then do a bulk to get some gains.
LBM 1070 -

Oh yay.
sorry.
I get it. Primal asked me to mod- she finally got me mod rights so now I can edit or delete posts and when I reply all the buttons are in different places.
Thank god- I thought i was going crazy!!!
I never really thought about that since I never get really low numbers... but that's a good fear too- the nice thing is when you take SO many readings- it's much easier to assuage your panick on low or high.
If you only take it once a month and you wind up with an outlier you would never know!!!
FOR SCIENCE!!!
I'm usually gyming it up in the evening- and once I leave work I'm REALLY busy- so Honestly haven't noticed extra fluffiness honestly.0 -
