Just a little change - small, to say the least

When I get sick, I spend a lot of time in bed letting my mind wander. Last night, I began thinking about the story lines that really sort of bug me. So today's food for thought is, if you could change one aspect of a companion's storyline, but only a SMALL one, what would you change?

As an example, you can't say, "I want Martha to not be sighing over the Doctor!" Because quite frankly, that was a huge part of so many episodes. But it would be reasonable to say, "I wish Donna hadn't gotten married, and instead found that she was happy without a man in her life." (Which is my own personal grievance. She became so much more than that, and then it's like they threw it all out the window.)

So, my fellow Whovians - what part of Doctor Who history would you alter, and why?

Children of Earth was all just a horrible nightmare. i feel like it was a disservice to the TW characters, and it has never since been referenced in DW canon (with the exception of the TINY nod at the end of Parting of the Ways). so yeah. it just never happened. and Ianto is still alive.

I loved Children of Earth BECAUSE of how it made me feel. No other TV show made me feel anger in that way. The lack of Torchwood in DW is more because of the end of the Tennant era than anything that Children of Earth.

Miracle Day, however. That can be a dream (nightmare). Let us never discuss it again.

I just finished watching Boom Town again. I realized that they set up this really nice dilemma for the Doctor and his companions (and probably even more poignant in Britain because they abolished the death penalty in 1965). And then at the end, the TARDIS comes in and solves it all for them, Deus ex Machina style. It feels kind of like a false victory, but I guess having to make that final choice may have changed all the characters (especially Rose and Micky) significantly.

This is the episode with the last of the Slitheen family on Earth, who had become Lord Mayor of Cardiff.

If I'm thinking right, you mean when the Tardis turns Blon back into an egg? It probably serves as much to put a little spotlight on the heart of the Tardis so that it doesn't feel like the Bad Wolf came completely out of nowhere.

About the Donna "second" wedding I REALLLLLY wish her dress had pockets. I wish that she had put that ticket into her pocket and someone commented about having a pocket in her dress and her saying that she picked this dress because it had a pocket even though she wasnt sure at the time why she needed a pocket.....

Im sure actual writers could have put it in there better.

As a side note, one of the reasons why TW is not mentioned much in DW is because TW is an adult show, while DW is more family-friendly, and Moffat didn't want children to watch TW.

Also - Miracle Day - UGH! Although the scene with Gwen shooting while holding her baby on her hip (while wearing ear protection of course) was just bad *kitten*.
