As most of you know we are going through some very difficult financial times, so when our Air Conditioner stopped working it plunged me into a not great place. Then one of our guys at work stepped up went to my house and checked it! He discovered something weird was going on with the power into my house and told me to call ComEd. They fixed the power issue. He went back out to check they had done it (they don't tell you) and then he looked at the air conditioner again with my husband. Turned out to be a $16 fix with new fuses probably caused by the drop in power. OMG. Blessed!!
Another person at work told me about a new clothes store called Secondhand Curves and I went there to see if I could find some summer clothing. I got four lovely tops for $27!!!! Blessed!!!!
Because the air conditioner was so cheap a fix I was able to order swimsuits so that I can go to the pool and exercise, because even walking hurts my hips.. they are beautiful. Blessed!!!
I was also able to order two pairs of shoes suitable for work but also for walking. Blessed!!
Last night my much adored German Shepherd Remy got out of the yard. I was totally frantic, I couldn't find out where she got out, had no idea where she was, she wasn't wearing her collar because my husband didn't put it back on when he let her out of her crate. And she is not microchipped. I was out in my front yard with her collar and leash screaming for her frantically.. I was almost hysterical. A neighbor to the side of us waved to me and pointed across the street from my house. I turn around to see Remy belting across the road to me.. I have seldom been that happy EVER. Not only that, but she was running across just as a car turned the corner.. but reached me safely. OMG.. so very very blessed!!! To have her back squirming in my arms chatting away to me was the best feeling in the world.

Omg! That is so awesome! Our A/C too went out on Sunday... $600 to fix.. Thank God we rent so nothing out of our pocket so in that regard.. Blessed?0

Julie glad some positive things have been going on and that your furry baby is okay. Another board I am on had a woman on it very upset because while she was out walking her dog, another dog owner across the road let their dog out with no leash and it just came racing across the road to see her dog and got hit, and died in her arms as she carried it over to the owner. So sad. It can happen so quick. The money things are great, but your dog being safe and healthy definitely blessed.
Heather yes I would count that as a blessing too lol.
My blessing is tonight I go and watch my 5 year old 'graduate' Pre-k' and get his 'diploma'. lol. I don't know why, it is just pre-k but I am quite emotional about it lol. And I am adjusting my cals so I can drink a glass of wine after yay

I got to go to a luncheon at work today, so I didn't have to worry about whether or not my food at home would stretch (it won't), so nice fully belly, at least for the moment. So, blessing?0

I am here among wonderful people who understand the trials of what morbidly obese people go thru. The stares, the laughs, the pointing and jokes. Being made to feel like a second class person.
I feel being here is a total blessing for me!!!!!

My Blessings are so many and I am very lucky to have the life that I have and my wonderful Husband sharing it with me.
I am thankful for the ability to make changes in my life. I wasn't happy with my weight or fitness level, so i'm changing it. I'm not happy with my job, so i'm changing it.
I Thank God that I have the ability to move forwards, even on the days where I choose to go backward!

In the last ten days, I have had three separate people step up to help me in a big way. One is a person I myself have helped before, another was a complete surprise, and the third was returning a favor/something borrowed, but it still helped. That being said, my apartment complex and their collection company are trying to double or triple dip on rent and fees due to a bank error and my miscalculation... So frustrating. -$90 in my account now, to start when my paycheck hits, and it already wasn't going to stretch enough....but at least a I have a bit of gas, a portion of my electric bill paid, and my rent itself covered... So counting the blessings!0
