Introduction and question on frequency

Hi all, I just joined this group after reading-up on the SL 5x5 program summaries and stickies. I've done parts of stage 1 of NROLFW and this seems simpler to follow.
I know this program is setup for 3 days per week and I have one of the online spreadsheets so I understand the setup and progression.
Rather than 3 days per week, can this be done effectively on only 2 days per week? I live in a remote area and due to my work schedule it is not practical for me to acces my gym (which is a long drive away) other than on Tues, Wed., and Thurs. So a MWF lifting routine would not be practical, but a Tues/Thurs schedule would work for me.
I don't have the space at home for a weight-lifting setup either. I do a lot of fast walking and cycling otherwise, plus some kettlebell routines at home (which are already taking up enough space in hubs' man-cave).
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I could not find anything in searching. Thanks for any advice.

There are times I only do it twice a week, I see a trainer once a week, and have started doing a crossfit type class on Saturdays. So I had to drop it to twice a week in order to get adequate rest. I haven't noticed any issues doing it this way. I am still making gains in strength.0

Good to know, thanks for your feedback! Maybe the kettlebell workouts at home will enable me to progress then.0 -
Three is ideal but twice is good too.
I plan to return to SL when my half training starts and I move. I'll be doing it twice a week as my training schedule allows0
