This week's episode is... Flesh and Stone!

"'Flesh and Stone' is the fifth episode of the fifth series of British science fiction television series Doctor Who. Written by showrunner Steven Moffat and directed by Adam Smith, the episode was first broadcast on 1 May 2010 on BBC One. It is the conclusion of a two-episode story that began with 'The Time of Angels.' Following the cliffhanger of the previous episode, the Doctor, Amy, River, and Father Octavian and his militarised clerics have escaped entrapment by the Weeping Angels, creatures who only move when unobserved by others. They take refuge inside the crashed starship Byzantium, but the Angels pursue them and Amy is on the brink of dying from the imprint of an Angel in her eye. Both the Angels and the Doctor's team face danger from a widening crack in space and time which has the power to erase persons from history."

Ahhh we just watched this last night for the first time.

I held off on watching Doctor Who with Matt Smith as the Doctor so that my husband and I could watch it together, both for the first time. I had already seen Doctors number 9 and 10 before him so this is "our" Doctor.

I had mixed feelings about seeing the angels actually move. I love Blink so much I've watched it multiple times and it just kinda seemed to take away a bit of their mystery. The mister thought it was awesome.

We both agreed that the chemistry between Doctor River Song and the Doctor is hilarious.

Seeing the Angels move creeped me out SO MUCH. Ha ha!

But I found it difficult to believe that the Angels actually thought she could see. If they're observant enough to know when a person blinks, then surely they'd have noticed that her eyes were shut.

Not my favorite episode, but I don't hate it. I do love River's sass. She redeems this one for me.

The best parts of this episode are from knowing whats coming, so I probably like it a little more now than I did before. Before, it was good, but now I get all timey wimey thinking about the fact that when Amy's eyes are closed and hes telling her to remember, the whole conversation is with him from the future. And the fact that when he says "The pandorica is just a fairy tale," and River answers "Aren't we all." It sums up the entire Amy/Pandorica situation, and mirrors the "We're all just fairy tales in the end" quote from the end of the season.

"Get a grip. No really, Get A GRIP!" I loved when the Doctor realized that the gravity was failing and the angels were all about to fall into the crack in time.

It bothered me seeing the angels too because to me if they aren't being seen then they aren't stone. So I guess it bothered me that they stayed stone while moving.

Overall I enjoyed this episode. It was fun watching the Doctor and River play off of each other. I can't wait to see what they do with River and the 13th Doctor! (^_^)
