Hi all,
I have only been doing WAH since last Wednesday. I knocked off 5 mile on the first day and LOVED it. For someone with Vertigo and Fibromyalgia to love some sort of exercise, is amazing!
So far since then I have done 30 miles. lol
So as a newbie I am wondering what success have you had with Leslie and WAH??? Have you dropped the pounds? Lost the flab? Toned the wobbly bits??
Would love to hear your stories!

Welcome Karen,
I've lost 46 pounds and toned up doing Leslie's workouts. I found a video of her's way back in the early 90's, "Basic Stepping with Walk Aerobics". It helped me lose 25 pounds. I stopped working out, started eating too much and gained the weight back plus more. Repeated this scenario many times over the years. But I'm close to my goal now and still working out with Leslie. I love her energy and upbeat attitude.
If you stick with it, it will work for you. Congrat's on already getting 30 miles under your belt! That's a lot of walking!
Have a good day,
Ann
PS: Lost weight with Weight Watchers and Leslie before finding MFP so my total lbs lost don't show the weight I lost prior to coming here.1 -
I have been Walking with Leslie 3 miles 6 days a week and I have lost 27 pounds in 3 months. I also run in place through some of the movie, and I really get into the workouts. I plan on doing the 3 mile walk till I find something better, I have tried the 4 and 5 miles but I just dont like them the way I like the 3 mile. I also do 20-40 squats 3-4 times a week and I lift 10 pound dumbells. Id say ive had alot of success with it and I recommend it to all my friends who want to do something easy but want to feel tired and sweaty
Also a healthy diet helps too0 -
I started walking with Leslie summer 2012 when I was about 20 lbs down into my weight loss. I struggled to find something I enjoyed doing until I found her workout on Youtube during a stretch of rainy weather. I've been hooked every since then. I credit her workouts for helping me lose and keep off 60 additional pounds.
The workouts are easy on my joints, I can do them anytime, and also I own a lot of videos so I have tons of variety. Some are slower paced, others have high and low intervals, there are some that use no props, other workouts that use light hand weights or resistance bands and some are at a consistent steady higher pace.
Typically during the spring/summer/fall I use her workouts about 4 - 5 times per week and during the winter I workout with her practically everyday.
I also use Jessica Smith walks, strength train 3 times per week, power walk outdoors (3 - 5 miles most nights of the week), do Pilates/barre workouts and I eat healthy with a couple of treats and relaxed meals during the week. This combination has been a winner for me for maintaining my weight loss. Leslie has taught me you don't have to kill yourself with workouts to get into great shape.
Good luck!0
