Logging Calories Burned

Question- my Polar heart rate monitor died so I have no way of accurately knowing my cals burned so instead of inputting my workout and overestimating the number burned, I am contemplating not logging my workouts and just sticking to my MFP recommended cals and eat more if hungry... Any input?

No reason why you shouldn't - as long as you do make sure you eat enough if you are hungry. I guess it depends on how regularly you do any particular exercise as well - I tend to do the same things and therefore have a reasonable idea of what I burn. E.g. if I do 30 minutes on the cross trainer, I know that I will burn somewhere between 300-350 according to my HRM. So, if you know that kind of average, then it would give you a starting point to log.

But I guess my advice would be - you don't need to log but make sure you are eating enough and healthy food to counter the exercise that you do. Hope that helps

Surely you should have a rough idea of what you burn from using your HRM already? My HRM died and I used previous burns as a guide. I don't eat exercise calories anyway so it doesn't matter really.
