Good morning everyone! How was your weekend? I had a very relaxing weekend. I took a long walk on Sunday then did some work in the garden. After that I pretty much just hung out on the patio and relaxed the rest of the day. Things are looking decent for a loss this week so I'm hopeful for Friday's weigh in. Hope everyone is doing well.

I did Ok, I am still losing. Yay!
My new dog is ALMOST leash trained and I saw some broccoli heads finally coming in in my garden.
I'm Moving my carb nite to Saturday instead of our usual Sunday due to dinner plans with friends but it'll actually worked out better for me since my final weigh in for my 60 day Biggest loser challenge is on Tuesday. However I'm Not going to have my usual big carb nite but still enough for a spike but not so much so I can deplete as much glycogen as possible. I see long runs on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
My hand is completely healed and I'm ready to get back to my old Muay Thai routine.Yay!0 -
Hey Everyone! I had a great weekend and my week is going well so far. I have been eating and drinking whatever I felt like eating (fresh homemade pasta and gelato at a local restaurant and of course beer) and still had a loss last week. Nothing in excess or as a binge though. I won't weigh myself or take my measurements again until this Friday or Saturday. I feel pretty good and I've maintained my usual activity level.
Have a great week!0 -
I have basically kept an even keel; same weight essentially for 2 weeks now. So, I am officially stagnant again. I really was hoping that I would be in the 220's by now.. grr. Perhaps in another week I can be going down again. This month of lose month of maintain really bites..
Other than that not much going on. The lightning and rain last night was impressive.0 -
We have had some good storms here too, Mark. I'm glad you hand has healed up heronh. Did someone say beer. :-) Speaking of which do you feel beer calories affect you as much as food calories? I am a calorie counter of course and I find that if I go over because of beer but still stay on plan for eating it does not seem to take away from my loss.0

I believe that beer causes an immediate stall or worse, a weight gain for me. One or two a week are fine, but if I let that slip back in to my life as a habit when I'm socializing, I'll see a gains within the month. I guess part of it is that I usually drink stouts, porters, and other high calorie (mostly locally made) beers. I will drink a Miller Lite or Mich Ultra sometimes but it honestly just feels like a waste. Why eat a carrot cake (flavored) packaged bar when I can just eat a piece of real carrot cake? The same goes for me and beer; if I'm gonna do it, I want to have the real deal. LOL! Mmmmm...carrot cake....with cream cheese frosting...0

I'm late on this check in but wanted to tell you guys to keep rockin on!! Glad your hand is healing heronh. I have a foot thing that is almost healed. Used that and a 7 day trip to get completely de-railed. I also did that Tough Mudder last month and that just threw me off good habits completely. Ironic! Wish I had kept the same weight Mark!
But I'm on track this week. I've gained a good 5-6lbs and am trying not to get psychotic about it. This is normally when I start starving myself and cut my sleep to get in some crazy amounts of cardio. Going to keep with my Carbnite and try not to snack so much. Those almonds/other nuts and bags/bags/bags of sunflower seeds are KILLING me.
So you guys keep up the momentum!! I was super excited to log in and see that there were friends here for me when I needed some inspiration.
Hugs and Health!!0 -
Carol, we have all gone off the rails here (well some of us anyway). Gads.. I think that means I one of the people that fail now and then.. say it ain't so!! LOL.0
