Sports massage?

Hi,
I have posted here before, but am still fairly new, I am at crossfit (and now starting olympic lifting) between 3-6 times weekly, have even managed to find the money for a VERY basic home gym (YAY - comes next week!)
As much as i love CF, and although I initially like the pain the enxt morning (sign of a good work out, no pain no gain and all that) my back is starting to get a bit sore, and as i will hopefully be making sure that i get a WOD in 6 days a week soon, i have been considering getting a sports massage from the gym... The thing is, it is quite expensive so I am dubious about spending the money on it, i also REALLY dont want to appear to be a bit of a 'wuss' as I am no way near as 'hard core' as some of the peopel going down there!
Any advice?

Depends on the therapist.
But it's generally much more effective than foam rolling. And painful.0 -
I think the attitude of it wasn't a good workout if I am not in pain the next day is terrible, but in answer to your question, it doesn't matter how 'hardcore' you are, if you are in pain and think you need it then go. I'd rather be seen as a 'wuss' than develop real problems later in life, as around at CrossFit I am sure someone will be able to recommend someone, there is a guy who goes to our box who actually is a sports therapist/masseur.0
