Hi
I've read through the summary which was so much easier to understand Thank you! I run 3x per week generally 20-30km overall. I've done resistance weights like pump etc over the years and my arms do have muscle tone but that's probably from lifting my 4 & 6 yos haha. I'm 53kg or around 117lb. Does that mean I start with just my bar no weights? It's an Olympic bar. I'm happy to do so but I have done pump with that bar so have used weight on it. I would really love better upper body strength.

IMO start with the empty bar and work up. If you follow the plan of adding 5 lbs every time you do the move you will increase quickly and safely find where your working weight is.

I agree with starting with only the bar. That way you get the form down correctly before it gets too heavy.
