Upcoming surgery, but not the kind I was expecting.

On 6/28, I dislocated my knee and meet with the surgeon to discuss my options tomorrow. I've been off my feet since the accident. The kicker is that my 1st appt with the bariatric surgeon was scheduled for 6/30. I had to reschedule that for mid August.

    I am sorry that you hurt your knee. That really sucks to have had to reschedule your bariatric appt. but August isn't too far away thank goodness. Where I am I had to wait 2 years from the start to surgery and people now are having to wait up to 6 years. Good luck with your knee surgery and recovery.

    That's too bad! The good news is August is just a couple of weeks away and your knee will heal so much better because of bariatric surgery, the weight loss, the extra walking, etc. Hang in there. It will happen.

    Just a minor setback. August will be here soon enough. Keep your head up and start practicing good habits now like not drinking with your meals, small bites and chewing very throughly, etc.

    If you can address your knee issue before your VSG surgery hopefully it will help you to have more strength and be more mobile after your VSG surgery. I am sorry for your disappointment. I know how much we want the surgery and the thought of any delay is initially frustrating. Wishing you well in your journey. :smile:
