How quickly did you cut time when you started?

Hi! I've been jogging regularly for a few years, but never pushed it and typically mixed walking with bouts of running too fast for me to sustain. Therefore my aerobic endurance has never really existed until I started doing longer low heart rate runs this summer, it's really helping.

I usually do 3-5 mi "willy-nilly" walk/runs 3x a week, but I've changed up my schedule to running 5-6 times a week (officially becoming addicted to it)

Anyway, I know my mile time has always been terrible (blame it on the 5'0" legs? and being terribly out of shape most my life). I got a gps tracker app about two weeks ago. Looking back I was "running" about ~15:30 per mile if I ran willy-nilly (my walk/sprint combo I considered "running"). I just today did a two mile test run of full-effort consistent running the entire time (except for a few minutes warm-up walking) and averaged a 13:40 mph pace, whereas my full-effort run last week was in the 14's.

How much time could I realistically shave off in the next couple of weeks? I'm having surgery in August so I know these are my last few weeks for a while. Sorry for all the specifics! I've just never focused on cutting time before so I have no clue!
