Regretting this purchase

Hello, yesterday I bought the Jawbone UP24 after a night spent reading positive reviews. After the purchase, I realized how expensive this item is...and since I noticed a lot of people had their Jawbone broken within just a couple of months, I'm really regretting my purchase because you know, 150$ is a lot of money.
I don't know what to do anymore. of course to prevent breaks I'm not gonna wear it e.g. in the shower. Today I also noticed that it counted around 1,500 steps even though I was only sitting in a chair ironing my clothes. That is not accurate at all and made me dubt even more about the worth of this item. If it costed ⅔ less I wouldn't mind, but 150$ as I previously say is a lot.
What would you recommend? Did you have any regrets like I do?

Maybe it's not for you? I bought a fitbit and in one day I realized it was not right for me and returned it. Personally I've had my UP for almost 3 weeks now and I loveeeee it. It's great and the only one drawback is that I'm a cashier/bagger so I put it in my pocket at work so my constant hand movement doesn't mess with the steps too much. Otherwise I always wear it.
If you did an impulse purchase it's understandable to start regretting it, I spent a lot of time looking up reviews for all kinds of fitness trackers and there are so many.
I bought mine at best buy and I bought a 2 year warrenty so if ANYTHING happens at all regardless of me or the bracelet is to blame I can switch it out. Makes me feel much more at ease. So far I have no problems but I also haven't had it for too long.0 -
If your UP breaks, Jawbone will replace it.
Your UP total burn is your TDEE—way more accurate than any online calculator. If you eat less than your UP burn, you will lose weight.
I wasn't losing much weight at all before I got my UP in May 2013. I haven't regretted my purchase one bit.0 -
New here, but I agree. Jawbone's customer service is above and beyond what you'd expect from a company. I've been living UP since last March, my most recent replacement band just broke after 7 months. They're sending a replacement, STILL, no questions asked.0

I think my Jawbone is broken. I slept around 10 hours the last night and it recorded only one hour and a half. Drove back home with my car after midnight and recorded 900 steps. I think I really better bring it back to where I bought it because hey, it's expensive to be used just as bracelet since it doesn't work properly as I thought it would have.... really....0
