need classification with logging exercise

My first day using the fitbit One.
I just did a 30 minute Jillian Michaels workout (Body Revolution) but fitbit only has me down for 3minutes very active so I'm guessing it hasn't registered the calorie burn? As a lot of the exercises don't have many steps involved.
So, do I input this kind of exercise and calorie burn (according to my HRM) manually on MFP?
But brisk walking for 30 minutes, don't log on MFP as fitbit calculates this exercise?
Have I got that right?!
ETA: predictive text! I meant 'Clarification not classification' LOL!

You are correct in that the FitBit doesn't really register the activity unless it involves walking/running or movements of the sort.
To log, put it in FitBit.
Put it in as "Circuit Training" since that is close to what the Jillian Michael's workout is.
Put in the time you started, how long you worked out for, and then click manually enter calories burned. You can put in what your HRM says.
When you log it in FitBit, it "overrides" the calories you burned according to your FitBit during that same time period. It will NOT erase your steps, just update to accurately reflect your calorie burn.0 -
Ah, brilliant answer, thank you!0
