Am I nuts?

I have managed to get back up to 2 miles since surgery- not so much from knee pain but my hip is sore and of course cardio is still not up to snuff.
I had surgery on my hip 3 months before ACL surgery. Same side- yep I am falling apart- LOL. Anyway I think it is from lack of use more than anything. So my crazy mind is debating aiming for a 15K in November in Chicago- The Hot Chocolate 5k/15k. So has anyone been through surgery and do you think this is doable? I am known to push myself too far sometimes

No surgeries for me so I can't speak to that really...but I did have an injury last fall that required a few months of PT and I had already planned and paid for my full marathon so I kept training. And everything was/is good. I think it's a delicate balance of having goals to keep us moving but not making goals that are going to lead to further injury. Good luck! I hope you continue to recover and that the pain subsides!!0
