This was scary to watch. Somehow the guy lands on his feet but his bike is in pieces.
Has anyone here ever had a collision with a vehicle, or a near miss?

Won't watch it. Bad juju. (Maybe I will. )
I've been hit or hit a car a few times.
Near misses, don't even count. A few broken bikes or bones.
My daughter has had one car hit and various other misses.
Don't focus on the crashes, ride defensively, make eye contact, see your outs.

a guy once opened his door on me... it was a chap from the Indian Sub-continent, driving an incredibly rusty Datsun. Basically I hit it hard enough to rip the door from the hinges, while I slithered to a halt pretty much unscathed.
The Adrenaline must have been flowing, because I returned to the car and pulled the guy out of his car, through the seat belt, by his throat with one hand, whilst drawing the other one back in preparation for (ahem) making my feelings known.
At this point, the stress of first losing his door, then getting thrown about like a rag doll by some massive white bloke got the better of him, his bladder released and I dropped him on the floor before I got covered in anything unpleasant.
By this time 3 people had got out of their cars, and all offered to be witnesses that he had opened the door on me - one guy even congratulated me on taking such prompt action to get him out of the car in case anything went wrong in there - as the electrical wires tat had ripped out of the door were sparking and smouldering...
Police arrived, and turned out the chap hadn't actually passed his test, was driving "his cousins" car, sans insurance...
It's fair to say i've had worse outcomes than this in traffic altercations though.0
