Calories burned

This might be a stupid question but yesterday when I went to the gym I put my weight in the machine and it told me I burned 310 calories, so I got home I logged it like I normally do, then it came up with Fitbit burned 200 something calories. So then all of a sudden it said I burned 0 calories. Not sure how this all works could someone please explain to me how it logs the calories burned and if I should log extra for the gym or just go with what my FItbit says?? Thanks!

When you enter calories burned via exercise it overrides the calories burned shown on your fitbit, otherwise you would be counting the same calories burned more than once.0
